The Skeleton Owl came to The Library of Living Monsters attention following a series of bizarre incidents for Grapefruit farmers in Mexico.
During the 1940’s Mexico’s Grapefruit production was at an all time high, however in the months leading too 1946 several of the grapefruit farms began to close. Workers refusing to work. Farmers refusing to open their gates. Due to this even to this day Mexico’s Grapefruit production has never recovered.

The source of the unrest was the apparent fear of a winged beast who would haunt the workers by day and night, swooping down with it’s skeletal face and stealing the Grapefruits. As Grapefruit farm owner Doug Pederson stated; “My men refused to work. I couldn’t even get replacement staff. Nobody would work in the trees with the fear of the skull faced beast. At first I laughed of my worker claims. But I have seen it. I thought it was El Chupravidrio ! But this beast only eats Grapefruits”. (El Chupravidrio was a Mexican Creature that the Library also Investigated his story can be viewed over there >>> STORY HERE

The Library of Living Monsters sent its finest curators out to Meixco to investigate. When there they used a trap of Grapefruit and Grapefruit flavored confectionery to tempt the creature down from its trees.

To this day the Skeleton Owl sits in the trees of the library’s Forest Room. The library’s staff have created an endless flavored lollipop of Grapefruit extract to satisfy the Monsters craving for its Grapefruit diet.

It is just a shame about Mexican Grapefruit Farming, if you know anyone who would like to help out the Mexican produce market, send them to this sight over there >>>  SITE LINK
